Arts Consultancy
a-n (The Artists' Information Company)
This research looked at the feasibility of establishing a public liability insurance scheme as a benefit for members of a-n's AIR membership scheme. It involved consultation with both artists and employers, as well as negotiations with insurance brokers.
Platform3's work formed the basis for a tailored public liability insurance scheme for visual artists, launched by a-n in October 2007.
Project management
At Platform3, we apply our skills, knowledge and industry experience of the arts and new media to undertake the management of projects in the creative and cultural sectors.
We always work in close consultation with our clients to establish the methodologies and parameters for our work, and are in regular contact during project delivery. Our open approach to communication, combined with rigorous planning and delivery methods, mean that our projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Research & mapping
Platform3 delivers research and mapping studies that use appropriate, cost-effective processes and frameworks.
Our specialist knowledge is supported by drawing on and cross-referencing relevant supporting data in the public domain. By undertaking contextual research, we ensure that we make use of and move forward from previous work in the field.

Shape
Shape is the largest disability arts organisation in the UK that works across the arts, cultural and creative sectors.
Platform3 is currently working with Shape to track the success and development of Link Up, a major three-year (2006 – 09) professional development programme for D/deaf and disabled practitioners, supported by the London Development Agency.
Norfolk Arts Partnership
(www.norfolkartspartnership.org)
In 2007, we completed an evaluation of Norfolk Arts Partnership's Creative Change programme, which piloted new creative arts projects tackling a wide range of community and social issues.

South Bank & Bankside Cultural Quarter Consortium
In 2007, Platform3 carried out a mapping project that gathered information about creative activities for children aged three to twelve in Southwark and Lambeth.
Our findings assisted in the development of partnerships between the organisations working with children and young people and cultural organisations, as part of the SBBCQC's Invest to Save funded programme, 'Putting Young People at the Heart of the Arts'.
Live Music Now!
Platform3 evaluated the pilot Live Music Now! / Youth Music Fellowship Programme, which took place in Manchester, Birmingham and London in 2005. The Fellowship Programme offered training and mentoring in music leadership to young classically trained musicians.

Creative Skills
Platform3 undertook an evaluation for Creative Skills in Cornwall into the delivery of its European Social Fund (ESF) funded services for creative practitioners, between 2004 and 2006. The work entailed getting feedback and information from beneficiaries, project staff and partners through face-to-face and telephone interviews, and paper-based feedback questionnaires.
