Usability testing goes hand in hand with accessibility and can be done formally or informally. Whichever approach is appropriate we believe testing should be done iteratively (little and often).

Informal testing

We encourage clients to show our mock-ups to colleagues and a small selection of target audience users to enable informal user testing throughout the development process.

Formal testing

Platform3 is happy to organise a programme of usability testing with individual users. This can be done both in person and remotely using a pre-determined script and set questions or tasks. Testers are selected from an agreed demographic and web experience levels. We would recommend an appropriately broad range of browsers, platforms and connection speeds based on thorough research into and discussion around a client's target audience.
